GREENBURGH REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE

CENSORSHIP IN GREENBURGH

Contact: William H. Pohlmann
Telephone:  (914) 997-2407

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 22, 1999

The Greenburgh Republicans are under tremendous assault by the Feiner Administration. This administration has effectively taken over and used Public Access Cable for their own purposes and has consistently and systematically prevented us from conveying our message.

During this past 1999 election season, our Republican candidates were deprived of sufficient and fair time to advocate their positions.

In addition, during the past 12 months, since December 1998, these Democrats have methodically denied "On the Right Side" from having access to taping on any regular basis. "On the Right Side" was provided with only 4 out of a possible 12 programs-6 tapings were cancelled, 2 tapes were lost and only 4 programs were aired.

With this in mind, the Greenburgh Republicans will be sending out a fundraising letter during the week of November 29,1999 in order to pay the cost of taping "On the Right Side" at rented studio facilities for the purpose of disseminating our message.

Pursuant to this release, enclosed with the fundraising letter is a copy of the excellent article written by David Glenn which appeared in the "Scarsdale Inquirer" on October 22, 1999 which explains many details related to our struggle with Greenburgh Cable Access.
