Letter to the Editor: Refreshing honesty about Greenburgh

A writer assigned to the Greenburgh beat who attends town meetings and speaks with a variety of citizens on issues covered: Joseph Ax's March 9 article on "open" government ("Town board member assails private talks on the sale of old Town Hall") was a breath of fresh air to Greenburgh residents tired of reading the supervisor's puffed-up press releases as news.
The discussion of the Open Meetings Law was well-researched by Mr. Ax and Town Board member Steve Bass. It highlighted the propensity of the supervisor to conduct public meetings in private, at whim, and then rationalize.
