I don't know about you, but I am outraged. Mr. Feiner announces the signing of an option agreement, but less than 48 hours ago, the Town's lawyer, Janet Insardi denied its existence. I have attached a copy of the fax from Insardi to Bob Bernstein - and below is the Supervisor's Report. This is disrespectful of the process, the community and the notion of truth. Anyone guilty of this kind of conduct is unfit to hold public office - and certainly cannot be a champion of open government. Please ask everyone at Grassroots for Greenburgh to send Mr. Feiner an email telling him just how unhappy we are with his attitude towards his constituents... Thanks, Jim |

GOOD NEWS! The option agreement allowing the Town of Greenburgh to purchase approximately 183 acres of environmentally sensitive land along Taxter Ridge has been signed by the owners of the property: the Unification Church. The agreement calls for the sale of the property to the town of Greenburgh, the state of NY, and Westchester County. The cost will be spread equally to each owner. Once the acquisition deal closes our open space acquisition will have increased from about 224 acres when I first took office to over 600 acres now. I'm hoping that the acquisition will take place by the end of the year. |
