Letter to the Editor:
Greenawalt should be choice of voters
(Original Publication: September 9, 2005)
The
candidacy of Democratic-endorsed William Greenawalt for Greenburgh supervisor in
the Tuesday primary election provides Greenburgh Dems, at last, with a choice —
and an easy one at that:
- The
choice to elect a supervisor who will set the tone for rational town
government.
- The
choice to elect a supervisor who's not penny-wise and pound foolish.
- The
choice to elect a supervisor who does more than just talk "open government."
- The
choice to ensure all members of the town's five-person council vote not as a
rubber-stamp, but in the interests of the community.
- The
choice to elect a supervisor who will refrain from interfering with official
boards (planning, zoning, antenna, etc.) when they make decisions that might
affect campaign contributors.
- The
choice to restore civility in Town Hall and the community.
- The
choice to ensure the people's will is followed with the library expansion.
- The
choice to elect a supervisor who will communicate with village officials
before rushing to the press with village-impacting concepts.
- The
choice to elect a supervisor who's truthful.
The
Democratic primary is a great opportunity to put Greenburgh back on track! Vote
for William Greenawalt.
