CANDIDATES' DEBATES
October 11, 1999
The League of Women Voters of Westchester (LWV) is holding a candidates' debate this
Thursday, October 14th at the Greenburgh Town Hall, beginning at 7:30 pm and continuing until
9:30-10:00 pm. All are invited to attend.
Jill Rembar, LWV co-coordinator of the debates, advises GfG that the beginning debate will feature the Republican and
Democratic candidates for Town Supervisor, William Pohlmann and Paul
Feiner, respectively.
Following will be the Republican and Democratic candidates for Town Council. The third debate will feature the
candidates for County Legislator for District 12.
Finally, there will be presentations (no debates) from the candidates for Town Clerk (1 seat) and for
Town Justice (2 seats)
The debates will be broadcast live on the Greenburgh TV cable access channel 14. Repeat broadcasts are anticipated
and will be posted by GfG when available.
GfG urges all who can to attend the debates at the Greenburgh Town Hall. Your presence will underscore that Greenburgh
residents take their government seriously and expect to be kept informed. If you cannot attend, then, by all means, watch the
cable TV broadcast of the debates on channel 14.
