GRASSROOTS FOR GREENBURGH DEMOCRATS SELECT THEIR SLATE
The Greenburgh Democratic Town Committee, at its May 26, 2005 Spring Convention, endorsed candidates for Town Supervisor, Town Council, Town Clerk and Receiver of Taxes. Candidates for several County Legislature Districts were also selected. Bill Greenawalt was endorsed for Town Supervisor by an overwhelming 75% majority of the 8,655 weighted votes of the convention delegates. Mr. Greenawalt garnered 6,502 of the weighted vote to Paul Feiner’s 1,850.5 weighted vote. Francis Sheehan earned 74% of the convention vote and Diana Juettner 56% for the two Town Council positions up for election. Alfreda Williams for Town Clerk and David Dwinell for Receiver of Taxes ran unopposed and were both endorsed by the convention delegates. A primary election is expected in September as both Paul Feiner, running for Supervisor, and Timmy Weinberg, running for Town Council, are expected to contest the convention designations. |
