GfG PRIMARY DAY ENDORSEMENTS

What’s best for Greenburgh---Vote for Berger on line 3A

This Tuesday, September 18th is an important day for Greenburgh.  Voters in the Democratic Primary have a critical choice to make about how Greenburgh is governed for the next two years.  Do you want continued dissension, chaotic government, divisive one-on-one politics which pits neighbor and neighborhood against each other?  Or do you want a change to rational policy with prudent and coherent management which seeks consensus over conflict and unity over discord.

The choice is clear.  Suzanne Berger, 20-year attorney and former auditor, and leader of the Greenburgh Democratic Party, is far and above the only choice for Town Supervisor.  As the Scarsdale Inquirer said, in its September 7th endorsement, “We believe [Berger] will be able to focus on the important, big-picture issues rather than appeasing different groups or neighborhoods as opportunities arise.”  Also, “Berger thinks logically and consistently….and has correctly diagnosed the problems that are plaguing Greenburgh.”

With respect to her opponent, Paul Feiner, the News12 Newsmaker political analysts, a Republican and a Democrat, both agree that Feiner has “no vision for the future” and is “very combative.”

Furthermore, many of Greenburgh’s problems are regional in nature [consider the Tappan Zee bridge replacement, Indian Point nuclear plant, etc.] and require regional solutions.  That is why it is essential for the Greenburgh Supervisor to have strong and cooperative working relationships with local, county and state officials.  Unfortunately, Mr. Feiner has burned his bridges with respect to most of the key officials who can help Greenburgh.  They want him OUT.  The following are the Democrats who have endorsed Suzanne Berger for Supervisor:

  • Richard Brodsky, State Assembly
  • Lois Bronz and Ken Jenkins, Westchester County Legislators
  • Andy Spano, Westchester County Executive
  • Tim Idoni, Westchester County Clerk
  • Bill Ryan, Chairman, Westchester County Board of Legislators
  • Amy Paulin, Adam Bradley, George Latimer, State Assembly
  • The entire Greenburgh Town Council---Steve Bass, Eddie Mae Barnes, Francis Sheehan and Diana Juettner
  • The Greenburgh Town Clerk, Alfreda Williams

Suzanne Berger is also the ONLY candidate endorsed by the Greenburgh Democratic Party and the Working Families Party

We also urge you to vote for the Democratic slate:

  • Steve Bass, re-elect for Greenburgh Town Council
  • Eddie Mae Barnes, re-elect for Greenburgh Town Council
  • Alfreda Williams, re-elect for Greenburgh Town Clerk
  • Sandra Forster, re-elect for Greenburgh Town Judge
  • Doris Friedman, re-elect for Greenburgh Town Judge
  • Janet Jordan, elect for Westchester County Family Court Judge.

Please VOTE on Tuesday, September 18th.  Polls are open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
