In a letter to each member of the Greenburgh Planning Board, SHCA thanked them for their commitment and dedication to the community and its concerns after the Board fully endorsed the 1987 Planning Board conditions for Westchester View. (See the SHCA press release regarding this decision.)
The following letter was sent to Dr. Stanley Samuels, Chairman, and members of the Planning Board, Blanche Alter, Ernestine Bartlett, Esq., Elliott Feldstein, Frances S. McLaughlin, and Thomas McNamara, RA. (Michael Weiss, Esq. was not present at the May 19, 1999 meeting).

May 23, 1999 On behalf of the Secor Homes Civic Association, Inc. (SHCA), I want to thank you for your extraordinary support for our community and its concerns regarding protection of the Westchester View buffer. We are grateful that you listened and heard the residents. We appreciate the effort you made in visiting the site and in reading the voluminous material dating back to 1984, which detailed the 1987 Planning Board decision to establish the buffer along the boundaries of Ferncliff Cemetery and Jean Lane. We cannot begin to relay the satisfaction we feel that you and members of the Planning Board reaffirmed the original Planning Board stipulations.
